Just as our StrongStarts4All plan calls for greater support from birth, our Hope4Homeless plan recognizes that long-term solutions require focus on youth.

Our plan includes several key steps, informed by homeless youth and youth serving providers directly, that the County must do to improve our response to our most vulnerable young people.

Final thoughts

We must tackle housing affordability, increase mental health and drug addiction treatment, and broaden our focus on the root causes of homelessness.  Our plan pushes in substantive ways for greater County leadership and intention to improve the quality of life for all San Diegans.
